Pathoanatomical department was launched in 1976. The department conducts the following types of research:
- The discovery of the children of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the city of Kyiv and the region, with subsequent histological examination of sectional material to clarify the causes of death.
- Histological examination of postoperative and biopsy materials using standard dyes (hematoxylin and eosin) and additional dyes (Van Gizon and Alcian blue).
Immediately the head of the department is conducted by a cytological study of bronchial waters, pathological fluids from the pleura and abdominal cavity, excretions from the mammary gland, cytological gynecological smears.
